Meadowlands race 14

You gotta love the “late” money. The 5 was 8/5 as the gate starts moving at the 1/4 pole 1/5. What a joke.

Bet $30K to win $6K?? However, the McCarthy exacta was a healthy number.  Looked like Gilmour and Webster reborn.

Who does it and how?

They pay a large fee for this and have a live satellite feed, which is about 10 seconds after the rest of us have

it comes from Lexington

It has been going on all year. Very large win bets late on favorites at last flash.

This one has gone too far. The Mccarthy brothers made it super obvious on the backside that something g was up. Very Very bad

all of those favorites had their nose on the gate then blasted out....if they break or lag behind the gate-their odds go up

no coincidence

if they

The large wagers started at the meadowlands this year on obvious favorites. Some have lost but vast majority have won. The money does come in as typical CAW money does but this is different. Whoever is doing this is not betting like a CAW. It's almost always win money (last night there was no exacta money or tri or super) and it's always crushing their own odds down below an acceptable price.

whoever is doing it--they are receiving a massive rebate..so getting $2.10 to win on horses like Karl are palatable

they receive more on the rebate than the 5% to win

explains why you see so many $2.10 to win payoffs these days--it wasnt like this 25 or more years ago

Yes. I believe the rebate is large in this situation and then it would make most sense that it is coming from the host site (meadowlands themselves) as they could afford the highest rebate.
Most concerning was one brother grabbing in HARD to allow the other brother an easy release.

The McCarthy brothers are sketchy at best. Not just that race, so many races one of them will be a huge fav and a standout and somehow get a bad trip but rally late to finish 2nd to the other McCarthy who was a much better price. They don't hide it after the race either, you see them talking and smiling right after the wire. I also think they tell Jessica Otten, as she always seems to nail her price play and it is almost always on a McCarthy horse. Even if it isn't true, it is such a bad look.

The money that came in on that horse was crazy. The notorious blast guys at yonkers both grabbing the 1 and 2 not that it mattered. Anyone who bet 200 hundred on the 5 and got back beer and hotdog money crazy.
