Created the first million dollar stud (Noble Victory) and had some of the best at Lana Lobell and Walnut Hill.

Very, very smart and knowledgeable man in the breeding end of the business. He had been suffering from dementia. Condolences to his family and loved ones.

I reached out to Alan a couple of years ago regarding one of his broodmares. He couldn't have been more pleasant and communicative. He invited me to come to Walnut Hall any time I was able to.

RIP Alan. You were a class act.

Any REASON to kill himself? Serious medical diagnosis?

Washington State has a "right to die" law, so people don't have to shoot themselves in order to end their lives under strict "guardrails"..

Years of Cocaine abuse isn't a great preventer for dementia either.  ngc3
