Even better- less than half a year, more like 4 months. Honestly wish they would race at Batavia year round.

That was seriously considered. However you need racing for the VLT’S (slots)!!

NYS  hands billions of dollars to t- bred racing in this state and pocket change to the harness. Fingerlakes race track 14k pot for a 5 claimer for horses the end up in a kill pen after five years   sad situation .

Sunday racing at Batavia was a good draw Hoover stopped that. dollar dogs and drinks fun for the kids. Afraid they might attract new patrons.

I know and it's unfortunate, because Batavia is all around better than Buffalo.

A statement from the Comptroller's office, October , 2023; "In SFY 2022-23, the State’s gaming revenues totaled over $4.8 billion"...
This figure is from all gaming sources. If the NYRA and Finger Lakes VLT agreement is for 10% of the gross revenue, hands over billions to T-bred racing as you say is impossible.

And sadly most of you still can’t understand the $$$ doesn’t come from the state. It is paid by the casinos. If they decouple tomorrow all that money will be headed to Vegas where most casino headquarters are

If you think  when decoupling comes about the $$$ the casinos are now forwarding to purse accounts will all go to Vegas you are nuts.  The deal will have the politicians splitting with the casinos.

Can't keep track of the Huckabones anymore. I see Bailey is back after getting arrested for assaulting another driver at Saratoga but at least it wasn't his girlfriend again. No handle but the buffet is still good though
