Mohawk Friday 4-19
« on: April 19, 2024, 08:18:11 AM »
Last week I couldn't find a single horse to post here either Thursday or Friday.  Found a few this week.  Odds are I'll get shut out since I was 4 for 4 Thursday.

R#2  #5 PARISIAN BLUE CHIP  Dropped and flopped as lukewarm chalk.  Drops again.  If she doesn't beat this bunch, may not win another race at Mohawk all year.  Should be well intended

R#3  #6 CAPTAIN WANIA  No Convoy Hall to face this week.  Like his chances.

R#4  #9 WARRAWEEFORLAURA  Seeks fourth straight and should get it if Borth can work out a favorable trip from the wide post.

R#7  #6 SORCHA SEELSTER  Was airborne coming home in qually.  Looks a lot faster than this bunch.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3xu17W_Ksc

R#8  #6  JMR SPEAK AWAY  Bothered when chalk got funky gaited in front of him approaching final turn last week.  Lost considerable ground and could have easily thrown in the towel like many do when impeded.  Instead he kept chugging away and made up a ton of ground late.  Last quarter of the race was slow so maybe I'm giving him too much credit.  Check out the replay and see what you think.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atmeTmy-jVo

R#10  #4 MIKKI SIXX  I'm playing captain obvious here in case all my other picks bomb.  I'll at least have one winner.  ;D

Good luck, Guys!   tmbz1

race 2--#3 Better Be Donna--loses Drury picks up JMac--the key to this pick is that Parisian Blue Chip looks much the best--but has Drury and will be solidly favored--the price on #3 will be much more value worthy

as far as horizontals go, these all look 3/5 or less and should be

race 3--#6 Captain Wania
race 7-#6 Sorcha Seelster probably 1/5 or lower
race 9--#7 Talk Curdy To Me
race 10-#4 Mikkisixx--probably 1-9

all have fantastic post draws

good luck to all  tmbz1
