Tony Morgan was better than  Dave when he had to be

Tony was money.  When money was down
that brown stain couldn't hold Dave's jock seriously tony was probably an all around better trainer/vet but I'd always pick Dave over the stain if ever I needed a win

He may not drove a lot in Chicago but one of the best driver ever to come from the Midwest was Del Insko.
I agree, chomping on that toothpick the whole time.

It's a tie between Dale Hiteman and Homer Hochstetler.

I didn't follow Chicago racing daily/year-round, meet-to-meet. Stakes races and grand circuit, yes, absolutely. Used to really enjoy going to Chicago. I think from the long-time, regular Chicago guys -- in my personal experience and opinion -- Dave Magee was the "best" overall driver, Tony Morgan may have had the most "talent," and Butch Paisley was the "smartest" driver and best overall horseman. Disclaimer: All three drove for me.

Best driver in Chicago but he had personal issues. OOsting.  Worst regular driver in Chicago History was Pat Berry.  Automatic toss unless the other drivers were betting him.
