Rickles was a REAL COMEDIC Talent.  UncleJerry thinks he's funny, but he's definitely on the verge of "going full Senator Blutarsky". He can't help himself he's ready to crack.

The two funniest guys I saw live were Rodney Dangerfield and Don Rickles. In Vegas I was sitting a few rows from the stage. When I saw security escorting all sorts of minorities and foreigners down to the front row, I knew it was going to be a great show. I literally peed in my pants from Rickles torching these people. As he always did, everyone received bottles of champagne who he made fun of to the sounds of applause. I saw Dangerfield in South Florida shortly before got very sick. He was sweating like nobody. He was so fast with his jokes you couldn’t laugh long enough before he was throwing new jokes at the audience. If there was ever a comic where you could rerun a joke like a DVR, Dangerfield was the guy.

Don Rickles and Rodney Dangerfield were great!  I recently found out that Rodney was a siding salesman in New Jersey before he got started. I also saw Don Rickles's live.

What separated Hackett from Rickles/Dangerfield was the material. I cannot ever recalling Rickles or Dangerfield cursing. Hackett was one of the filthiest comic in his day. Very different comics but all Hall of Famers.

Sadly, there was a a group trying to revitalize the old "Dangerfield's" Comedy club in NYC last year or the year before , but after Caroline's closed the seems like interest was mute.

Buddy Hackett Live and Uncensored on VHS and eventually DVD was a collectible item 20 to 25 years ago. We used to pick the vhs tapes up used at video stores for a couple bucks and resell online for 40.  Eventually we contacted Lisa Hackett his daughter,  and helped her with the re release of the tapes and DVDs before Amazon took over everything with their streaming everything in the world that was good cheap.
