The fact they were caught is reason to question. The fact they were facilitating acts with syringes, and blood voiles, is cause for immediate suspension without appeal. The fact that we have not created a thread here to voice the a large or unanimous position that the USTA has done nothing, is also wrong by all of us.

He's talking about the Pelling barn late night visit at the Red Mile the last week of Grand Circuit where someone was allegedly caught with this stuff.  It was talked about here.

It wasn’t during GC meet it was middle of August. Person caught got 6 months. Owner got $5000 fine. More than any other owner has ever gotten when one of their employees got caught doing something

more investigation and answers are required
the 'suspension" and fine were a peace offering and a sacrificial lamb

I am curious what went on behind the scenes on this. There has to be have been more information than was made public, right? To your point, it's a hefty fine with no further info on what the purposes of said syringes were; blood out, or something in?

The whole thing seems really odd.

They were caught with needles and blood vials. There is no possibility of injecting anything IN with a blood vial

Ok, good to know. I didn't recall the specifics of the penalty; I'll re-read it.

What do you think they were doing, out of curiosity? Pulling blood, I assume, per the above, but why under such cloak and dagger conditions?

$5,000 to him is nothing.

Knowing a few of the people involved. I personally think the racing manager was hoping to find abnormal blood levels on 1 of the horses so he could put a wheel under one of the trainers

Its a minuscule amount in comparison to the potential crime. your the problem, (Same mind set as the USTA, filled with reasoning).

The racing manager? you delusional fuck. The racing manager was the son-in-law of someone who retired before he was indicted. and marriaed to the daughter that is questionably dropped in her percentages just enough to look talented.

  • Bitter Truth: That Golden Tempo , I'm afraid is  a money burner. Gets so far back. Was in range but just hung and raced even in the stretch. Didn't see a Derby winner in there in my opinion.
