2nd race YR

Funny when the announcer said top of the stretch - "Striking Impact second over to nowhere", then he sweeps the field to win!

ngc3 Sad whats happened to Yonkers.

Though a dearth of quality announcers these days not just at yonkers. Of the replacements for middleton at mohawk i think roezma is the better. Maybe tries to give a little too much info at times and stumbles.

Funny or just incompetent.  Too many mistakes by track announcers whether miscalling races or inability to pronounce names.

Beviliga of Pocono drives me crazy.  He's been calling Kenziesky Hanover's races for years and pronounces her name  Kenzie Esky every time... Makes me cringe espcially as she's a frontrunner so her name comes up a lot.   Now if I'm wrong shoot me but shouldn't it be  Kenzie Sky ?  All the other announcers say that.

Had he watched the races every Monday night, he would have known that Striking Imoact always paces the stretch. At one point, he was calling Billy Mann’s horse in the stretch.

I like Anthony, but he really blew that call.

There was a young sounding voice kinda like Howard Oils - I KNOW IT WASNT HIM guys, who did a hood job on Thursday and Friday at YR. Very detailed, announced everything with interest and authority. great listen, IMHO.. Anyone know who that was?

BTW, 3rd race LOOTABLE from Buzzy Sholty - ouch backed out of the pocket badly and was swerving and truing to throw himself the entire stretch  Bogiorno must have loved that ride. Good job keeping him on his feet.   Avoid betting on, claiming or having anything to do with Lootable   tmbz1 11.wp

Does anyone know how much track announcers get paid, not newbies but experienced guys. And since the hours they actually work amounts to around 3-5 hours a live performance what other responsibilities do they have?
