Steve Smith is still a regular at Freehold. He also makes regular appearances at the Meadowlands and Yonkers. He still looks to be partners with Karen Garland. The few times I had a chance to chat with Steve he seemed to be a good guy.

For one reason or another, Steve is someone I only dealt with on a marginal basis. Good guy, limited talent, tried hard everywhere he raced. Definitely not above playing games too.

Last I heard,Carlson got married and went back to the corporate world. I believe that he was a designer or engineer at Ford motor company prior to catching the driving bug.
