I agree , when the other horse did all the heavy lifting.. ? If they weren’t stablemates would he have been driven the same way. Also the few dollars bet on him to win, the bettors got the shaft because he was in it to just put up numbers for Confederate.Let’s see how the year plays out in the upcoming stakes with full fields. I also think he will not supplement to LBJ

 Great mile today, no lasix

Confederate will 100% NOT be in the Jug

I can assure you of that
Even if they don't win- if they come back sound & we'll try it again. They'll still be fed & well taken care of.
Have to keep them happy, well fed & rested.
They pay us back in money & memories to last a lifetime.

These people only care about slot and casino welfare and breeding money. They never even considered for 1 second that today's race was a betting race. Very bad.

Yeah, pretty obvious he isn't going to the jug, since he will be in the final for 400k in 2 weeks. Really bummed about that, but it's all above my pay grade.

Greatest Standardbred pacer of all time is not even up for debate, It is Dan Patch. One can assume he would pace in 1.42 based on what he did over a century ago. 1.55 in 1900? mind boggling. Undefetred in Open co. and at one time literally the most famous athlete alive. free legged is even more astonishing.
Dan Patch was probably drugged with EPO and everything else back then. No testing.
Johnny Johnson fucked up Chicago harness racing. I hope you die !!!!

If the track is short it is the same for every one has been the same track for years why do these crazies go on about this the horse is very good no matter who cuts the mile.

Exactly.  As far as I know it's always been who crosses the line first -- no matter how the race sets up.

This race was a time trial without calling it that.

And without a thoroughbred prompter on the inside and outside of him the length of the stretch.

Considering they only went 27 for 1st quarter and if he's pushed, he goes 45 and 2 easy IMO.

Even though Bulldog Hanover didn't do it last time he was there. Had he been at peak, he would have probably gone 45 flat on track. It's a drag strip but like you say, it's the same for everyone

  • Bitter Truth: That Golden Tempo , I'm afraid is  a money burner. Gets so far back. Was in range but just hung and raced even in the stretch. Didn't see a Derby winner in there in my opinion.
