Barn areas
« on: August 27, 2023, 10:23:42 PM »
Was thinking about the days when RR had 2000 horses stabled, YR 1500, The Big M 2500, Monti 1000. You get the point so my question of all of you in the know is, which harness track in North America has the greatest number of racehorses stabled onsite today?

Is it the Meadows? or Northfield?

Losing the barn area at most tracks is the worst thing that has happened to harness racing all because the drug guys want to be in N.Y. state to avoid searches made it so expensive now stall rent and shipping anther $1000.00 a month for owners and the little guy.

Especially when you had a scumbag gambling degenerate like Dr. Grasso as silent part owner in two of the biggest training centers in Mid Hudson valley area of NY. You can figure out the rest.

I was stabled there 85 to 91 and security told me there are upwards of 2500 horses capable of being housed there. My original question is which N A track is still housing the most racehorses.

Northfield has a pretty big backstretch, don't know the numbers but there's a lot of activity back there.
