I don't believe so. I was mistaken. It was at Yonkers.
Fitzpatrick again was in trouble in New York in 1962. On May 29 at Yonkers Race‐ way, Miss Chief Moken, whom he drove, won and returned $7.30 for $2. The horse had been 10‐1 in the morning line.
Fitzpatrick was suspended for 60 days when it turned out that Miss Chief Moken's owner employed William Myer, who had driven another horse in the Chief Moken race. This violated the commission's conflict‐of‐interest rule and Myer was suspended for 75 days.
The drop in odds on Miss Chief Moken caused a spectator riot at Yonkers and the ninth race that night was canceled. It was discovered shortly after‐ ward that Fitzpatrick had bet $200 on himself to win.
Bedell was unable to get stall space at Roosevelt Raceway this season. Fontaine, however, drove Country Don to a fifth‐place finish Saturday night in a $25,000 free‐for‐all pace at Roosevelt.
None of the horses that Fontaine, Fitzpatrick and Bedell train will be eligible to race until the hearings are over. Country Don is entered in a $15,000 race at Liberty Bell tonight. The horse, trained by Jay QuesnelI, will be driven by Augie Galentine.
