It's difficult to believe Dexter's filly was a slight favorite.

Was even the favorite in the p3 payoffs. I think someone knew Sylvia was not right today

She's probably the biggest freak out there right now but she's flat goofy.  She does what she wants to do when she wants to do it.  She likes to pull up, shy away from stuff, & touches herself in the turns.  Take her to Colonial and she probably goes some stupid mile.  Probably needs someone like Pelling or Jimmy T to rig her up and get her over her bad habits.

I think it's more like the wise guys knew that if ever she was vulnerable it would be on a smaller track, as she is a huge horse with all those bad habits.  Add that with the fact that Dex's filly is in peak form and is 2 fingers to drive rather than your entire being to drive the beast.  She probably made a speed break going into that unfamiliar turn.

I watched her race a few times and it seems as if Bob McClure and she are not in sync and he "allows" her to be in charge. Is he a good driver. I know nothing about him.

He's won a lot of races in the past few years and even a Hambletonian.  People complain that he's a "weakling" but I rarely watch Mohawk so I can't really say.  This mare does boss him around though ... I still can't forget what she did a few starts ago refusing to clear and then doing her thing in the stretch.

Decent, but not a top driver.  She would be much better if handled by one of the top guys in the states.  Maybe Dave Miller would  be a good fit.

Seasoned driver who has seen everything like Dave would teach her some manners.  But if she's based in Canada I doubt we will ever see a change.
