$64,000 . YIKES

He does fit the phony young claimers going for good money> This guy didn't get where he is today by not being sharp. He must have a plan and the money to put his plan in place.

the guy definitely has money but not from the horses. he uses the horses to lose money like dana odds on racing so they can get a tax write off. you should see him at the yearling sales. hes a big goof and just keeps buying whatever sale topper and spending like its paper. never made any money in the business because of the over head and prices he pays for the ones that dont make it. Decent horses cost real money and this guy might be better than decent.

Better have a good chemistry set to keep up with the previous trainer.

I'd like to know what his training bills come to each month!

I'm sure it's high because he seems comparable to a deep pocket owner in Ohio whose monthly bills his partner told me are over 45K / mo.

June 23 story on USTA Newsroom says he ownes all or part of 100 horses.
Good luck on paying the bills on a hundred head.
And still buying more!
I am just an old horse trainer still going around in circles. Sometimes Fast. Sometimes Half-Fast.

It's been a horseplop 'tradition' for many years!  The "wannabes" are jealous of those who have $$$ in the business!

A bunch of haters on here.  It seems like the trainer scared off others cause it seems like a reasonable price. Doug is good for the game.  Guys like him restock the buying power of the little guy.  He also helps the average yearling sale for the breeders.
