Half the field broke stride.  Can't bet trotters. Pacers by far

In the 2 divisions of the $77,000 Sire Stake races, 11 of the 14 starters made breaks. 
Just 5 out of 14 in the Excelsior….

It is on a half mile track most qua. on a bigger track just first start give them a few starts if your a better your crazy to bet two year old trotters.

We can see how important VD is to the NY program. Right now, a good portion of the high end Chapter 7 babies don't even start in the NYSS races. It is that risk vs. reward thing.

Why do they insist on racing these babies so early ??  They should have 2 qualifiers and a couple races before the stakes start.  Racing 2 year olds in a stake race on June 22 nd is insane.

Monticello, Monday, 2 year old pacers, 2 divisions of SS , 1 (one) horse has started out of 15 horses.  Same for the Excelsior. 
Just to damn early to go tearing into the babies..
