He spells his name JON Paton (his father was John) and yes, he still has the honey business.  He is also married to (or living with) a really good artist, who happens to be the former Wendy Daigneault!!  He also was the owner of Donttellmeagain, a very fast open pacer for a few years, fairly recently.
