New/Swinger/Omni Wager at Woodbine
« on: May 31, 2023, 04:30:58 PM »
Looks like this might be a fun play if you are watching and ya really don't like anything. The payoffs should be interesting for sure. Pick 2 horses to hit the board in any position and get paid.  tmbz1

So now instead of playing an exacta and having my pick come in at 1st/3rd, I can play a swinger and get a 1st/4th finish

Here's info from the track:

https://woodbine.com/woodbine-news/woodbine-introduces-swinger-omni-wager/

I'd watch out for small pools, limiting large potential payouts.  I never like this type wager, seen it many times in European, UAE racing!  Seems to not seek more money bet but also dilute the other pools.  Good luck if you like and play it!

I go with the under that this thing won't last a month and it's pulled from the betting options permanently!   ;D

$42 IS OK with me if the payout is based on a 20 cent wager!

$42 was the pool, I think.

Perhaps our Senator will be along to confirm.

Ladies and gents
First time Mohawk last night:
Played omni r2... Nw1 young trotters 10 horses.

THIS IS THE ONLY KINDA RACE WORTHY OF A OMNI BID

I lucked in:
tix $2
267/13 =
$12 investment

Came in 653

$65 for the 6/3= $53 profit.
Omni pool:1050 can gross, 835 net was avail.

#1 Renaud broke off the rail horse early BUT 'the greek' christoforou #3 good for a 17-1 third

You knew this race was your typical young trot crapshoot..nothin g wrong with that.

((Had .40 cent tri x/x/1,3 BUT didn't add #5 Mcdonald to tick...oh well.))

Anyway, this woodbine omni bet s'breds or t'breds...big fields only realistic way to get something.

  • Bitter Truth: That Golden Tempo , I'm afraid is  a money burner. Gets so far back. Was in range but just hung and raced even in the stretch. Didn't see a Derby winner in there in my opinion.
