Looks like kid on the front jammed the breaks pretty hard. No reason for this

7th race - Anthony Napolitano on the 2 sitting second on the rail first turn started looking like he was going to climb over the horse in front, the 6, just coming around the turn.  A Nap jerks his right line hits the 3 Narina Hanover in the right breast with his right elbow at the same time the 3 ridden by Bath is about to climb over him, and then does.  27 1/5th first quarter.  Pile up ensues.   91z.his

Following up....Jim Pantaleano, aka Pants had other drives on the card he was taken off.  You can clearly see him get squashed like a sandwich and go straight airborne on the 4 before video went out of the action frame.  The 3 collapsed below him, and then the 1 was waiting behind him like a wall, thus the launch.

All the other drivers, either raced after, or drivers Bath, Chellis, and Taggart didn't have drives later in the card so their status is unknown.

Horses' status unknown.

Equipment status, I surmise, some of it,  pretty fucked up.   ;D

Nothing on the track social media, other SM or news, and if it was there it eluded me.  Must be counting their slots take, and thoughts and prayers bs.

Keeping a good thought.

He also was in a bad accident at Freehold 9 years ago. Any update on the condition of drivers and horses?

  • MTP1972: I have a different take on carryovers. If you're betting a track who has a good handle like Mohawk the Early Pick 5 pool is around $100,000, maybe $50,000 for the Pick 4 pool. When there's a carryover the CAW's bet thousands into the pool and have every combination covered multiple times. In a smaller pool there's a better chance for a big score because less of their money is in there, same for the Pick 6 in California.

  • Trigger: Thanks Calhoun, GL to you too, big scores ahead!  Check out Mohawk last Sat early p5, $67891.89 .20 payout w/ 3 horses < 3-1 odds, the other 2 races, nw1 and claimers, wow, the perfect storm.

  • Calhoun: Trigger, $25k/$500per week. Sounds great. IMO, you have 2 best options. 1) 100% of play on certain CarryOvers.  Pick-5 Carryovers are best. Pro is Near EV or +EV. Con is it's a ton of work in 1 day at worst or 3/4 days at best. But $500 gets you a lot of coverage. ..2) Focus 100% on one track, WITHOUT a lot of ship Ins. Woodbine, Remington, SoCal and Texas fit. WDB and Rem closed/closing. Whichever you choose, you need to know every single horse. You MUST have access to workout videos. You need to learn trainers. Good Luck
