It seems to me a lot of these horses are bet down heavy right before the gate opens by their own stables. This makes it totally unfair for the general betting public who doesn't have that inside information and makes the odds too low to bet.  Illegal to do in most other sports.

Nothing wrong with betting on yourself if the public could see it. They need to lock the windows way before the start of the race. Also, need to share the gas info in your program or post it with the equipment changes.
Race 3 #4 add high octane is a good example.  ngc3

How do you know it's "their own stables"?

Totally agree, somehow if the pubic could know they're betting on your own horse that would even the playing field. tmbz1 tmbz1 tmbz1

Does Yonkers have enough handle for the drivers to even bet? I knew drivers that bet six hundred across the board.

  • Calhoun: I actually bet on a horse named Miss Wobbles today. Maybe the worst name possible for a race horse. I got what I deserved. Somebody, shoot me.
