Looking like the T.B. players that were active on here in days gone by have either moved on or passed on !

I thought Mage was the better horse yesterday tho he lost to Forte at Gulfstream   Saez moved very early when he could have just stuck to Forte's hip and got run down late.  That said, both are deep closers and that doesn't work well in the Derby.

I thought Angel of Empire looked visually impressive at Oaklawn but he beat crows.  He's a deep closer too.

Kingsbams is probably the one I would bet if I had to choose right now before the SA Derby, Wood and Blue Grass.  I thought he was terrific in the La Derby, he's won on three very different surfaces.  Also,,, Pletcher, Uncle Mo, on the pace type... lots to like.

Looking forward to next week.

I know the owners of Confidence Game. I hope they decide to race in the derby, even though I hate thoroughbreds.

  • dougie: I don't really know a lot about Mike P. but I support his cause 100%. I admire his humanity toward these abused animals. I now know that there is a very minute number of people in harness racing who really care about their horses once they are not able to race/breed anymore. Those who don't carfe deserve their place in hell.
