Mike, it’s amazing to me how you constantly pick on Mark Ford. I’m not going to get into any particulars, but you’ve had your share of problems in the horse business as well as your private life. I’ve known Mark a long time over half his life.  He’s a class guy would help anybody out he pays all his bills and unlike most came from nothing and built an empire from the horse business. You have a vendetta against Mark because he wouldn’t allow you on his farm because you don’t pay your bills. I’m just stating facts.  Nobody’s perfect but I could tell you firsthand, Mark has helped so many people that were down on their luck without hesitation. As president of the SBOA not many people know this but he donates his salary of $130, 000 or so back to the standardbred’s breeders association. That’s a fact. I knew Mark when he had nothing he’s the same person now and he was back then -a stand up “character” that doesn’t take any bullshit from anybody. He’s the first one to reach in his pocket to help others, countless amount of deadbeats on this farm over the years that he’s helped out
but you don’t mention these things.  Anyway, I just had to vent.

Harness racer, I totally agree with your statement. A lot of horseman are jealous and envious of Mark’s success.  You never hear the good things like the 90 year old man Wes Fisher RIP that Mark baled out.  Trusting old Wes was failing at his feed store thanks to wannabe horseman like Ross Cohen who screwed Wes of money for a new truck and feed. Guys like Ross drove him to the poor house.  Mark bought his feed business and gave him a nice trailer on his farm to live but you never hear about that. All you hear are  negative jealous comments?

ive heard nothing but good about Mark myself.  i also have had a horse or two with him.  ive bought horses from him and hes always been very honest.  ive had horses with trainers at his farm and never one bad story or word.

Mike, the man has more enemies than he does friends and that’s kind of sad.
