mohawk monday night last post at 11 pmv
« on: November 21, 2022, 11:08:54 PM »
i am aware this is nothing new
and i am sure there was about 20 people actually onsite wagering
but is a monday night, a garbage card with 10 races and the last race goes off at 11 pm
even sitting at home betting it is far too long and drawn out
i can almost understand it on a friday or saturday night
but on other nights how about trying to get done at 10.30 at the latest
yeah, its all about the post time drag to maximize every last dollar , i get it but CMON MAN !!

They must be closing the doors to the nursing home at ten and not letting people back in

the time between races is getting close to TBred times.....i watch  on HPI Tv and the time between the 1st and 2nd race is the longest..only because WEG wants to jam in as many commercials as they can..most of them involving Farms offering their Yearlings..hello. ..they are over

thank you mwins
i likely nodded off and missed the actual time it went...LOL!

i understand that there needs to be some time in-between races for horses in later races to warm up but after race 8 that would be unnecessary i believe so why the drag for race 9 and race 10
this is what happens when you have people making decisions with little knowledge of the sport( never made a wager, never sat in the grandstand for a full card even in the summer) and no skin in the game, but i guess that goes for a lot of aspects in harness racing

the sport is its own worst enemy

Or....move onto other things. Bet on other things.
I mean we can make 109's of live bets on Monday night football and that lasts an hour less than the Monday night WEG CARD.

most of you just don't get it, it is not 1985
your right, no one has to stay up and no one has to go to the track and no one even needs to bet any of the races
there is so many other options
as a rule i would never bet races without seeing horses on the track and more importantly seeing the odds, so for me and if there are others like me they just lose all those wagers

i am simply suggesting that a little thought could help the industry overall but they don't have the right people in place
