After watching Anthony MacDonalds steed crawl down the stretch in the Jug final I couldnít help but think what a great scam this guy is running! And while being the worst driver ever to drive in the Jug he is without a doubt the smartest because if not for conning however many fools into shelling out a collective 175 thousand for that rat never mind the countless hundreds of thousands every pion he has as an owner has shelled out to a complete hack of a horseman itís given him the ability to fill what were his lint filled pockets and live his dream allowing him to have one in whatever race he wants wherever he wants. I think the on air dopey commentator said it best when saying when he talks horses all he sees is dollar signs, heís a business man and seemingly a damn good one because heís now got pockets full of fifties instead of lint and this in spite of never ever having an ounce of fucking talent.
i

He seems to have a very high opinion of his driving ability.   What little he has was not evident yesterday.

atlas hanover cost $88k, just fact
no issue with other comments

the jug is clearly not what it used to be , blame stronger sires stakes programs that race for more and trainers dont have to run 2 heats( or 3 as in the past) , even though inferior horses for 50 years did it just fine

harness racing needs more 'events" like the jug, anything related to harness racing that can draw 42,000 fans needs to be supported and improved
any idea how many were at events such as the hambo, meadowlands pace, how about the upcoming mohawk million card and breeders crown, those 4 wont add to how many were at the jug yesterday

Burke wins 7 today.  The man is a legend and made of teflon!

The week belonged to the hometown kid, Chris Page.  Topped off by a perfect drive in The Jug.  Is it finally time to acknowledge talent and give Page some props ?

It's like the Quarter Back that manages the game and doesn't force anything or make any mistakes that can hurt his team.  ;D
