as usual when a track cancels they leave you stranded nothing on usta site YET nothing on adw's nothIng on northfield track WEBSITE so i call the track get an operator and i ask are you cancelled? of course she says yes . i ask to speak to someone and she says they are all gone  nice as usual screw the bettor

Burkes horse got scared after the 2nd race while unhooking the bike. Got loose and ended up in the pond tragically.

2yr old Fear the Dragon colt finished 2nd.  I'm trying to recall, but last year another 2 year old got loose and went into lake.  They saved that one.  I'm thinking it was a Burke horse also.

This creates another issue.  There were Buckeye stake races scheduled to race later in the program. When do you race them to fit into a schedule and a point system is involved.  I'm thinking Northfield made a quick decision without thinking this through.  Strictly a PR move cancelling the rest of the card.  A lot of people hauled horses a long way to race.

Northfield, OH – The canceled Buckeye Stallion Series races from Monday night’s (July 11) program at MGM Northfield Park will be contested on Wednesday (July 13) at 4:00 p.m.
After consultation with the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association, the five remaining races will be contested as non-wagering events prior to Wednesday night’s program. Post positions will remain the same and horses that were scratched prior to the cancellation will remain scratched.
The live racing program will follow the non-wagering races at 6:00 p.m.
