Meadowlands demands the best of the best and also the worst of the worst in pm action on Friday nights.

If you look at the handle week in and week out, the amateur races at the meadowlands are consistently some of if not THE HIGHEST on the wagering card.  Also, they are mostly the only 10 horse fields on the card lately.  The races are competitive and the payouts way better than the average payout in the sport.  People enjoy it because they just don't just line up and not pull the right line like every race at yonkers.  there is action in the race and some of these guys don't care that they are parking the big favorite which can set up for an exciting finish

Look at the MEADOWLANDS results from Friday night.  Only one race had a higher handle than the 5th race (amateur) the entire night.  Also the 5th race amateur race had the HIGHEST EXACTA pool of the entire card.  so obviously people don't mind the amateur racing.  Also, trainers like putting their horses in the amateur races on 2 fronts.  First, if you have a horse running 4th or 5th every week in 1:54, he can go in the amateur race, run it in 1:54 and win for the same amount of money.  Second,  trainers and owners like the fact that if you run 6th-10th you get $600 guaranteed and it doesn't cost you the week of no money like if you run 6th in a regular overnight race.

Only a whoresmen would come up with this crap. Just because a Gural Sucks Yourcock race has the highest exacta pool of the evening, does not mean the CUSTOMERS don't mind the AMATUERS. It just means the rest of the card is crap, and the CUSTOMERS prefer to wager their hard-earned dollars elsewhere. Secondly, nobody should be giving a flying fuck what the trainers and owners want. This is the problem with the cesspool that is known as harness racing. Nobody thinks about the customers, it's all about the scum.

The amateur race from Friday night also did more total handle than 11 of the 13 races that were contested on the SATURDAY night card as well.  you can have pros driving, amateurs driving, or chimps driving and you would still be complaining about everyones driving.  clearly on this cesspool of a site, everyone gets on all the pro drivers too and their driving capabilities.  so whats the point.  lol

If the amateur races are handling more money than the other races then it just shows how much trust the gamblers have in the regular guys.
