Nobody Has It Better Than Plano
« on: February 07, 2022, 06:51:30 PM »
Owns 90% of the horses he trains.

Takes down $500,000+ in purses a year.

Catch drives a few for fun.

Been going strong for 50 years.

Plano was on the Dover, Harrington, Pocono circuit 50 years ago. He was Bino's man. Rick was always good but I think he's a better driver now than when he was 25.

Didn't know he was on that circuit. He started at Vernon went to Ohio Then to California Then to Florida Then to Indiana He was always a good driver. He was from Ilion or Frankfort NY and his son Luke is a pretty good horseman too.

Rick and Luke are father and son. I am talking about Rick I know Luke is in Cal. because he married a valley girl and that is where she wants to be when there is racing out there. He goes to the mid west when they close. Running Acres

I also remember Rick in the  early 70"S at least for a short time, racing at Monticello, along with a couple of other future sucessful California horseman the great James Grundy and Rick Kuebler
