cumberland fair
« on: October 04, 2021, 05:49:00 PM »
glad to be over with at cumberland. onto burg. maybe its wishful thinking but first tracks needs to get rid of what they call management. the last 30 years the final day of the fair 10 races at 130 go quick. 4 no later than 415. this year after 5. usta press release talks about large crowd on hand. less than 75 at its most. 19 were on hand after 5 for the last. i wandered the empty pace and counted.  handle total better but ontrack was horrible. we will never attract new fans by boring them to death. the false press is a joke. a few races looked like horses were shot out of a rocket, last race winner, really bad form reversal. we need to do better and soon.  hope for a great week for all at fryeburg.
