so your point is that wagering follows the best horses and drives??
um yeah
so when the breeders crown is at the big m do you think the big m handle will be higher than mohawk
of course
the difference is as the only real canadian track mohawk has a huge loyal following on a regular basis
the big m has competition on a regular basis from other usa based tracks
of course the big m needs to be the mecca but during stake( yes that is how you spell it) season there is not enough quality horses or drivers to mimic what mohawk has on a regular basis
Please...

Do not give extra effort to being a bigger NitWit than you are.

Pick ANY Friday with just overnite racing and compare it with last year... thn compare it with the year before last. i.e.,  Y0, Y-1, Y-2.

THAT is the point ... the inexorable downslide of Meadowlands handle.

my point was that comparing the handle of mohawk on their biggest night of the year to the big m with a weak card might not be the most accurate
however i do believe we agree that on a annual basis mohawk is clearly the # 1 track in north america
but as stated the landscape is different in the two countries
in canada the best horses and drivers reside at mohawk 12 months of the year
in the usa the best  horses and drivers are spread out over many more tracks
not hard to figure out, purses dictate and many slot tracks offer better purses than big m and they race many more dates

iceman is correct on some stables dabbling in ontario, this would be accelerated if the currencies were anywhere close to par
also many ontario trainers scaling back on their usa exposure
