It won’t cease to be, but each state that pulls the casino subsidy will push it more towards irrelevance.   Already on the way, a matter of how much money track ownership wants to lose.

Dec of 1995 the industry was diagnosed with terminal cancer when Dover Downs got a Casino. Slow death since.
