Meadowlands Fri. 5/21/21. Late Pick 4 races 10,11.12,13 im 3 for 3 they scratch my single the #9. in the 13th race. Received $ Zero. Im assuming, I'm stuck with the Post Time Favorite in Race 13 to receive any payoff ? No mention by the announcer or on the tv screen ?

Hoosier Sun. 5/23/21. Early Pick 3 races 2-3-4. I had the #9 in my play in the 2nd race first leg of pick 3. He was a gate scratch "broke before the recall pole". Got $ Zero for that as well. I thought if the scratch was the first leg of a pick 3 or 4 you would get a refund? No mention again by the announcer or on the tv screen ?

I know on D+D's they refund your money if your horse gets scratch in the 1st half of the D+D and you get a consolation D+D if you hit the 1st half of the D+D and your horse gets scratched in the 2nd half of the D+D.

Does anybody know the New Jersey & Indiana, Pick 3 & 4 pari-mutuel rules ? On consolation payoffs or refunds ?

im not sure of any states exact rule but most seem to just give the post time favorite in any leg of a pic whatever.  they dont want to lose a penny on a late scratch.  i have thought all along its horrible for the bettor.

  • Calhoun: Thx I'm leaning to the 5 there.  Those CD/GP full field races look the best on the page. 1/2 length from being a G3 winner.
