A. MacDonald and the team at TheStable.Ca.  Work round the clock. Great team.

for me, it is hard to beat Barry Viceroy at the Southern Ohio tracks.

barry is pretty good... esp like his 3 wide to nowhere call...
on the other hand cant quite fig out the fascination with the wizard idiot
put an old man on have him wear embarrasing hats and shirts talk like a moron
and thats supposed to be funny... its not its an embarassment to harness racing which
has plenty of that already

there's a need to appeal to a wide variety of interested folks - so, the Wizzer has his place - and, there are folk that enjoy his schtick and there are days when as a handicapper, he hits it pretty good.  However, at the risk of sounding sexist - there's room for a knowledgeable woman on the race day set.  and, like when the paddock cam is on @ Scioto - it could be more LIVE to have a guest announcer in the paddocks at N'Field, Dayton and Miami hooking in a 3 minute chit-chat w/ drives : grooms and trainers.  And, the secretary, etc.

Barry has a few other calls that are fun, esp. on the breakouts when he calls the stretch as cruise control.   No question that in the 2020 world, Barry viceroy's style is far, far and away more modern than corny-time: WAGER NOOOWWWWW !

  • Calhoun: Thx I'm leaning to the 5 there.  Those CD/GP full field races look the best on the page. 1/2 length from being a G3 winner.
