A real lockdown fixes everything, not one of those pussy ones that they keep putting on up in Canada. In Australia they shut all non essential businesses, allowed you out of your house for an hour a day otherwise, and restricted that movement to 3 miles from your house. If you broke these rules, you were fined $4500.
Cases went from over 2000 a day to 0. And they shut the borders.
Lockdowns work... half-assed North American pussified ones don’t.

canada/ontario sucks, we continue to let people into the country while locking down non peak areas
we continue to allow areas of high transmission( amazon distribution , postal distribution, costco , wal mart etc) to stay open as essential while safe areas of no transmission ( small businesses etc) are forced to close
on top of that we don't have enough vaccines
if these political asswipes wanted to really control covid, shut everything down for 10 days , and i mean everything and get enough vaccines and vaccinate everybody and anybody
but they are going to do the same thing as twice before and expect different results

Many if not most live paycheck to paycheck these days Mr Jug.If so you cant stock up on food,meds,and supplies.There are no easy answers to this problem and it does not look like it will go away soon.It would just be impossible to have a total lockdown.I have no answer.I know of a local Walmart that just came down with as many as 20 covid cases last week.Get my 2nd shot Friday.Didnt want to but you have to weigh the good and bad and make your own decision.Sore arm was my only side effect.Good luck to all of us.

 if the government needs to allocate money to those that require it for food than that should be done( tricky i understand)
 they have doled out billions with little accountability
but a true shutdown is required while people get vaccinated
that means no one into the country especially if you are not a canadian citizen

Good prior points brown jug. The US  could have done a better job just getting everyone to immunity as the first shot of Moderna is 80%. Why give another shot 3 weeks later to get to 94-95%? You could have been up to 200mln already reaching herd immunity minus the 16 and younger group. Then come back around with the second shot later. It's not like there aren't enough vaccine the past 3 months. As far as north of the border how is that socialist healthcare system stemmed with globalization helping out in Canada? Apparently not so good...Privatizat ion of our businesses will hands down will beat big government to a deadline/finishline. They showed through government funding and lack of government red tape they were up to the challenge.
