Ron Burke perfect preparation for a race!
« on: March 14, 2021, 08:45:17 AM »
In Saturday night's 9th race weekly Open handicap, Mr. Burke had 2 horses in, GD Western Joe and The First Step.  Both are nice horses, and the field was pretty competitive!!  But lo and behold, as is almost always the way things go with the Burke Brigade, the 2 horses finished 1 and 2!!  I really would like to compliment Mr. Burke and his training methods.  Not that the 2 horses finished 1st and 2nd, but they completely DESTROYED this field by 8 lengths!!  I would  just love to know how he gets not 1 horse, but 2, to run lights out like that!! Nothing like good old hard work and hay and oats.

saw that looking at results.

Open goes for $22k-- but then you catch GD JOE who wins when they want to.....

So you are now racing for second money or $11k

Then they let Burke put two into the open and they run off

So you are now racing for third money $5500

This is now the racing for this decade.

You would have thought these nice horses would be entered in the Borgata Series at Yonkers!!  Oh, I just looked at the entries, and lo and behold, Mr. Burke has one he in each division!!  Oh, and of course, every one of them is the ML favorite!!  So I guess he can just go on beating up on the little guys in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and pretty soon in Indiana and Illinois!! It must be nice to be able to win whenever you want!!  Oh, I  forgot Canada, sorry!!

Not jealous, not envious--just asking how he has everything so well prepared! Especially when the purses are very nice!!  Are you trying to tell me the other 8 trainers in the race are that bad??  Or is he just that good, that he can make all of them look like fools!

Right on the mark, Luc!  He just has so many interchangeable parts, he is a juggernaut!!  You and Me get 1 good one every couple years, but you can't knock heads with him week after week, cause when one gets a little sour, he just calls another one off the bench to pinch hit!!

He’s the Tom Brady and Michael Jordan of harness racing!
Obviously he has the deep roster of horses and does things different, can’t hate the guy for the achievements he accomplished up to now. On the other hand when your horses win do the other 9 guys come on horseplop to bitch about it?

Mr. Esposito I respect you but WTF are you talking about.  Burke has only 4 in the 5 divisions of the Borgata and only one of them is the ML favorite and from Post 8 I doubt if he will even be the favorite at post time

Just sayin.

Lets give Ron Burke the benefit of the doubt that he doesn't cheat....... 98za.ag

So if this is true then why for the last 2 weeks his horses were completely empty on the final turn?

This was true at the Meadowlands and in Ohio. 11.wp

Then all of a sudden this weekend they all had the stamina to finish their race. tmbz1

Went from no gas to all gas like flipping a light switch. 91zxa.1

Huge form reversals across the board. 11.wp

If Ron Burke doesn't cheat...then why do his horses all go bad at once then get good again at the same time?

That is a classic trait of trainers who cheat. 77z.chf 91.jzail

No gradual changes in improvement or decline in form.

Tell me what other sport has athletes that perform like yo-yo's? 74zac.1
