Amazing how Dan Rawlings at The Meadows is allowed to get away with excessive and abusive whipping

We’re talking about a specific driver with very little talent. PETA has nothing to do with it. A driver with ability doesn’t need to pound on his horse to win.

The best will flat drill one if they can get away with it.  Same with kicking.  Are you new?

Would you rather lose your bet or purse because of driver not trying, go back to fucking PETA this ain't for you.

Years ago in NZ, there was a maiden who had drawn 16 in a 16 horse field and he was labelled Urgent. He was a very lazy horse and had to be whipped to get him to find the other gear which head had. He had plenty of gears but had no intentions of using them without being persuaded.

The horse was 18-1 and went off at 2-1 and he wheeled the field with 5/8th to go and was in danger of getting headed at top of the stretch. His driver whipped him only 6 times in the stretch and each time he gained a length on the opposition. He won by 6 and many of us cashed in. He, of course, got fined like 500 and a suspension because every one of those 6 drew blood on his ass.  He won quite a few more races and was never lazy again. He told the judges had he not whipped him, he would not have won and he would have been accused of not driving him out.

This guy was a well know top driver who trained a few as in like half a dozen of other people's horses and they always won. He would take a horse off someone for a month and get the desired result. the horse would keep winning when the original trainer got them back so I guess he had a method that worked. Never was ever accused of drugging and all he did was jog them miles and miles up the countryside on the side of the road for miles and miles every day.

A little over a month ago in Australia in the $450,000 Grade One at Gloucester Vultin Tin beat Chicago Bull.   The driver of Vultin Tin was fined $1200 and given a 7 day suspension for "unacceptable whip". The driver of Chicago Bull was also fined $750 for the same thing.

I watched the stretch drive and didn't think that much of it. Some places treat it a lot harder than we do.
