Mohawk Double Header
« on: December 23, 2020, 09:55:14 AM »
Ghost of ernie banks appeared to weg management and said should be beautiful day the 23rd let's play two!

I may play a few to win. Anyone else want their last shot at big Canadian pools in 2020?

Curious to see if the 2pm "Flamboro" card has an increased handle.

Just checked out afternoon card - think weg made a mistake and got woodbine program mixed up with flamboro program.  ngc3

Please refer to matinee card by correct name for simplicity and clarity. Is flamboro at woodbine at mohawk. Thank you in advance  ngc3 ngc3

1st I'm playing straight ex 3 over 56.

Good luck. Would have been really cool if weg could have got special dispensation to bring up entire matinee card from Monticello to race on infield of mohawk track at same time as flambororo card. Could have gone clockwise while flamboro horses racing counter clock.

That's really when my handicapping skills come to the fore.

FIRST RACE afternoon card

Starter just gave the gate a test run down the stretch and almost did a 360 as the gates fold....

I think there may be a delay in the start of the card

Saw that - weird. I have a few bets in but no need to play this track today. These delays often go on for more than temporary. I m cancelling my plays and waiting till big m on saturday. Good luck and hopefully they safely race for connections and bettors.

As the gate pulled off the track, guys standing were making fun of the driver of the truck....

Meanwhile they bring the screens out to work the track, they have a head on shot and the pickup trucks pulling the screens were fishtailing....

I smell cancel of the afternoon card coming and get it ready for the night card...

I had a few $ of that and some exacta bets I cancelled in first and later in card but I'm a  $25 or $50 win  bettor and a $10 ex player.  A lot of options for people these days.

I was looking forward to my plays. Change from flamboro to mohawk surface allowed me to chuck some favorites and use some horses that I know like mohawk. Some other time maybe. Gl guys tmbz1

knew that was coming when the starting gate car went sideways down the stretch
I don't think these starters are exactly ex formula one drivers so better  to be safe
best they save the track for the evening races
