Didn't someone buy Balmoral a year ago to just that? Problem is the property is in Will county and they were not in the legislative plans to have a casino. Good luck fighting that fight when Chicago and Crook county are trying to fight who gets more money them or the state? While who ever ends up being the casino operator gets a very small return.  If it's for sale then the one that bought it a year ago is throwing in the towel? One would have to go back to the bankrucpy in 2015. I kind of remember the casinos stipulating no parimutuel wagering at the facility for 10 years?

The state should allow the ownership group that wanted to build a new racetrack the opportunity to buy it with the guarantee they would get race dates as soon as the renovations needed were completed.

The guy who bought it was squashed for a casino and it's back on the market. Doesn't matter if IL racing is dead or not it's about placing a casino there and racing as less as possible. Less horses the better. There is so much gaming in the state and if cook county says not a chance...then there is no chance.

 Any takers for the track 3 million and it's yours clubhouse redone barns too not much to convert  back to harness as long as deal with state can be done it be nice to see it going again what does the crew say yes or no ???time to cash many and often I'd say

There should be a chance to fix that as new track build is a bust and plans at Hawthorne  have not increased harness  as it sits now less days even more than last year .as well as purses reductions
