Barry Abrams passes

Former trainer of the pacer Guts and more recently thoroughbreds in California, Barry Abrams died.

I met Barry at Los Al in 1989 when he was still pottering around with standardbreds. One of the nicest guys you would ever meet. Loved to gamble. Many years later at Santa Anita when I made a very rare trip to bet thoroughbreds,  he spotted me and invited me over to sit with him and his owners. Always had time for anyone.

Great guy loved to party . Back in the 80s had a beautiful wife or girlfriend that’s for sure .
