Mofawk
« on: August 17, 2020, 09:10:40 PM »
Scott West horses seem to be running well. Over the last few years barn has primarily only been considered for 2 or 3rd  $ (place show) but recently I've noticed improved performance. Barn has a second and win tonight with two that raced slightly better than last pps suggested.

Also, notice barn has made several claims recently which were few and far between in prior few yrs. My recollection is going back quite a few yrs barn was hot for awhile.

Other handicappers might want to  value in their own handicapping though I'm wrong ever now and then.  ngc3

What was Scott's relationship with Tracey at Vernon?

Tough track to string a p4 or p5 together as last race demonstrated.

I thought the 3 came out and bumped the Fillion horse at the start causing the latter to break.

The real handicappers know who the real trainer is. I believe there were pics of him with pylon on his head floating around.

Scott always has been a good horseman. His buddy , and driver was Travis Bowman....who headed out West years ago.  Together they did well in the Luc Ouellette  days at Dover Downs.   Scott got them ready , and Travis could get one to leave pretty good.....and they got many , many   2 hole trips behind Luc.

He always been a good worker.  The person who thinks it was Scott "with a pylon floating on his head"   has Scott confused with Josh Marks.  Josh was just an out of control kid , when Scott spent time at Vernon. Tracy was not involved with horses in those days.  Scott might have been seen  around her father, the late Denny Brainard , asking him questions....he was a very knowledgeable horseman.  The other "expert" in those days , is still around. Claude Huckabone Jr.......had some special techniques in shoeing horses who were off their gait. Young horsemen like Scott were not shy about asking Denny or Claude or the famous Jack Bailey questions.

These comments relate back to the early 90's.......and Scott is still making a living on a major circuit like Woodbine...30 years later......tells you something.

I was stabled next him years ago. Good guy, for sure.

He was hooked up with a cutie from BC, but no more.

Hope you had that $47 Millar farms horse there. I had 5 horses covered for 2 bits in final leg of p5 but didn't have horse moving to galluci.  ngc3

Hope you won at least a few $!
