I know Howard personally. he's a good guy. some of you don't remember but when he started gearing up his stable big time he railed mercilessly against the Burke/ Pena types. he truly was a man in the stands and a fellow true believer. of course now he's gone full dark side, developing an "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" attitude. shame really. I wish him luck because he deserve it, but I disagree with him ditching the white hat for the black 1.

What is wrong with you people?   Do you really want to see the end of Horse Racing?  PETA has initiated a massive attack with millions of dollars spent trying to accomplish that. Ordinary bettors don't finance these suits MEGA RICH OVERZEALOUS PERSECUTORS DO. 

By the way the case was not successful regardless of what PETA says.  To spend over a million to persecute (not a spelling error) and then settle for twenty grand is a loss.

Andrew Benedict, one of Bresnahan’s lawyers, described the case as “a David vs. Goliath type thing,” with PETA able to finance extensive litigation against two defendants who were not major figures in harness racing and had far fewer resources.

“It was rough for us to defend this case on all fronts, because of the amount of money that PETA was pouring into it,” he said. “It shows they had no evidence of criminal wrongdoing or they wouldn’t have settled so cheaply.”

Agree with everything you said except pretty sure HT is a member of the tribe and not a Christian, LOL... I don’t know him personally but have dealt with his firm when my friend was seriously injured in a car crash and he and his associates were great  to deal with and very responsive..He’s a big supporter of harness racing too
