I went there around 20 years ago. 
I had 2- 2 year old trotters in the same race, which had a purse of around $70k.  Sat in the stands and saw 1 of them break stride early, but the other 1 finished 3rd.
Was a nice place, stands for the races were right next to all the carnival rides and attractions, and food.  None of that this year though.

That dude was actually right about the 13th.  USTA does say one dollar purses for that day.  ISA Elite .. no clue why so low.  The real money is on Wednesday the 12th.
