Always a good bet.    Horses are ready and they use top drivers.  Big fish in a small pond.

Although most harness fans don’t follow northwest NY racing,  I do.  Buffalo and Batavia race offices do favors for Team Rice in almost every race entered.  Expensive horses relative to the other stables yes; however there is no question they are the preferred stable by the race secretaries.

One bad race, drop from open 1 to Open 3.  Rarely assigned outside in handicapped races.  Amazing amount of inside posts despite the “automated draw” (with automated draw, can easily hit the redraw button when Rice entry draws outside the 3).  Open up classes quite a bit to fit horses as well, etc (see Drunkonaplane tonight, oh yeah rail!)

Horsemen’s rep is supposed to be watchdog for this type of behavior, but like the Pryor movie, “hear no evil, see no evil”.

Quite unfair to others, all trying to earn a living.
