If they go a 52 half at Red Mile like they did at Big M last night it's possible but who has the lungs?
No one in current form that's still in training.   More chance that the trot world record may get broken by one of the mares

Some horses have been parked the mile this year with a final time of 147.4. I usually subtract 2 seconds form a horse's time when that happens, so it's basically a 145.4 mile, so maybe barely doable like you said with ideal conditions maybe at Lexington, although Lather Up's 46 mile at the Big M was pretty impressive last year. He could have done it then.

I understand what you're saying but if it cost you 2 seconds to be parked the mile that would mean you would have lost 4 lengths on each turn plus a little for being parked but if you're not drifting out you really don't lose any additional ground.

IMO parked out would only take a second off the time.  Either way the only horse I've seen this year that maybe could have done it was Papi Rob from a good post IF there was that kind of speed in front of him .. and he's only 3.

sub 146.0 equalls zero chance. Time is meaningless and who will gut a good horse to get that number?

Stating that to go 26 1/2 every quarter to get a 1:46, no a chance. Miki and Lather up are all time speed horses. You can accuse them of being juiced ( Which they weren't ) but they are leagues above the rest in speed. The best chance of seeing a sub 46 mile would of been if lather up raced at the red mile last year, which he didn't. maybe papi rob in a few years from now but i doubt he'll race again. Trotting records are more on the line this year than anything.

I believe Shartin N can go sub 1:46:0
That said, with Timmy owning him and the future for him looks bright both on and off the track, I donít see him ever pushing him to try for the record unless heís out in front and the teletimer at the 3/4 pole says, you have a shot if you want to push.

I'd be shocked if Tetrick owned more than 5% of any of those mares he drives for King and Pollucci.   That brings up my second point.  You called her him four times.  Is that an oversight or did you really believe that Shartin is a stud considering what you said about the future?  I don't think we will ever see the day where a pacing mare is the fastest horse of all time.

I was thinking 5 or 10% on Shartin...but he has a couple that he is listed as breeder and at least one or two he is sole owner.

Yes, a typing mistake. Sorry about that.
Iíve watched her race so many times and it looks easy while Timmy is not even utilizing the whip. Maybe she does not like it.
I just wonder if itís the right track with the surface being super fast, thereís a shot? Time will tell. Hopefully I can see her in person this Sat.
