Total handle was a hefty $3,065,942.00 tonight vs. $2,294,097 last year.  tmbz1 That is a 30% increase which should show the doubters the facts. Last year the Hambo was on the Saturday program so do not expect the Saturday handle to top last year's different card.

You continuously ignore another fact: across the industry handle is up over 20% from last year. This is due to COVID eliminating gambling and entertainment competition.

To do 30% better than this date last year with having 2 large carryovers on the card is a failure.

Much like you, they will spin it as a success. But then they will also beg the state for the tax payer money to continue because they are a failure.

Last year there were carryover nights that did more than this year on random dates too.  Bottom line is little tracks increasing their handles by 20% from $300,000 to $360,000 is nice, but it does not compare to the volume of betting the Meadowlands does as this constant bashing of the best betting track in North American harness racing is ludicrous at this point. You hate the top grossing track, go ahead. It makes NO sense.

What I do not like is the propaganda that their revenue makes them a success.

Do you pay taxes in NJ? If you do, part of that revenue is filtered to the meadowlands simply because their racing operation is a money losing failure. You really can't make sense as to why people have a problem with the gloating about handle?

Where I come from gross means shit net is what matters

So again tell me how high handle correlates to anything when the majority is made by computer algorithms which doesn't help purses and is given signal free so no $ to The track either

If "none of it means anything", why the multi year obsession?

Correct! 16W OBSESSES when the handle is lower than last year on a rare night---BUT, when the handle greatly exceeds what his hopes and dreams are for it to fail, he CHANGES the narrative, just as the liberal politicians do. For 16W to SUDDENLY have an epiphany and claim that he does NOT care about the handle number is a joke! That is all he ever cared about! Remember, tonight is NOT the Hambletonian, which it was last year, so do NOT attempt any comparison to the handles.  NEXT week is the Hambleonian and they did $6.5 million that DAY.

one of the biggest mistakes they are making is not allowing any rebates whatsoever to NJ residents via tvg( the only adw they will allow).

The first step to making this a better situation instead of bitching to the governor about their failures is to allow adw rebates to people in the state.

OK kiddies, another beautiful handle tonight with $3,242,085.00!  The weekend did $6.3 million combined for a non-Hambletonian event, with limited on-site patrons allowed in to bet live as well!  Those are the actual NUMBERS, which suddenly do not mean anything to those with faulty facts.
