as a general rule you get what you pay for at the sales
thats not to say the odd inexpensive one cant jump up and do well but odds are against that
when a 3/4 brother to vegas vacation sells for $30 k you can assume  it is not because others were all getting beers when he went through the ring, he has some confirmation issues

Ake knew something when he sent her back from FL. Stable needs to race at B and C tracks a big O for the win spot couple seconds and a whole lot of missed checks in 20 starts. AM three races burns about 27k of wps of the public money not counting ex and tri. KDDO was acting up post parade which will give AM cover to sprint 4L to the lead.

Wonder if he will brag on q's today since he had a 30mph at their backs in the stretch. Whined enough last week with a 40mph headwind. The guy blames everything but himself the list of excuses are so amusing wonder how much these clients believe?

If a trainer always told an owner that his horses always sucked he wouldn't have an owner for very long.

The truth hurts but it’s the best

Horses are what they are

Owners appreciate the truth versus lies

I do.

I wonder if he will describe the quarter mile all out gallop in his recap as a "little break"

Half round...going by the Tony Morgan philosophy of treating owners like mushrooms just keep them in the dark and feed them a lot of shit...isn't the best way to run a rather large stable that appears to focus on cheap yearlings that turn into rather large expense for a 3yr olds racing nw 1, nw 2, and only seem to place well at cheap tracks? He is more a CEO rather then trainer/driver?

Case in point with this guy whines last week of 40mph headwinds that factored into slower times. No doubt it did as it did for all horses that qualified. Yesterday a good 30 mph wind at that their back produced better times and better last quarters. His first race q had a 28 second last quarter any mention of the wind pushing that time...nope. U would like clients can start smelling the bs by watching and knowing the difference. They aren't newbies anymore.

He may have 6 better then average and sure a few may turn into something better but no 9% or under can't pick up a stable of 60 plus babies with some already on the sidelines. A couple more bust at Mohawk but a C track victory. Everyone gave Nicky loafers no cred for placing horses correctly at Freehold. The stable needs to stick to b and c tracks when racing in ONT. 21 starts and the best finishes so far 3 3rds...ouch
