Well, I was wrong about May 1st Qs, but my trainer just called and let me know Scioto called to ask him how many ship in stalls he needed. He also said they would be Q'ing at the Fairgrounds where he is stabled, Xenia, Virgil Morgan's farm and maybe Dan Ater's place!!  Hopefully, he is right and we'll be racing before June!!

Encouraging. The only thing missing is the one who makes the decision, the Governor. Unlike, New York, Ohio has a strong harness racing lobby. So, it looks like when the ban is lifted , Ohio will be ready with a pre-approved plan.

June would be best for any harness track nation wide . 25 days left in May . PPE plans take that long to develop.

Obviously May is over for racing . You need to look June or July . Problem in tri state is much tougher with the cases still very very high . Cuomo told a reporter yesterday when he asked about Coney Island or casinos . Are you kidding me ?

If 2nd wave comes early, in a few weeks from now, (after they started opening things, lack of social distancing, no masks, idiots storming state houses etc.) You will NOT see harness racing return till 2021 if at all. No casino in their right minds will want to open till this has a vaccine, MGM would love to have the news people looking at them like they do nursing homes. Where did you get the virus? At the casino!!!! AS the Voice says ¨BE There.¨

woodbine confirms  it is  doing everything as per usual with the tbred horses in the backstretch except actually racing
and we know Mohawk was functioning fine before shutting down
they have done an excellent job of safety and social distancing but politically were shut  down
 I hate the fact that we now have to hang onto this thread of hope that maybe in June we will be racing when they should have been racing in Ontario  weeks ago
wear masks, wear gloves, take temperatures, limit people, social distance , clean everything twice etc
the spread of the virus is not going to end anytime soon( controlling it is the best for now) so deal with it and adjust, if an industry cant than don't open but ones that can lets get going...SAFELY!!
