harness racing is no more special than any industry
any business that can start back up while being safe must do so asap
and horse racing is one that can much more easily and safely than other sporting events or casinos or concerts etc
get a part time job, sure where ?the country is mostly unemployed and most businesses are shut down  ,
you think the government can support everyone for another 12 months

HARNESS RACING SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TILL CHURCHES ARE ALLOWED TO RE OPEN WITH GATHERING OF MORE THAN 10 PEOPLE

OR UNTIL FAUCI SAYS SO

when do the casinos open? Insiders say they can place the slots betters 6 feet apart by having one machine working, the next 3 off, then the next one on. The problem there is they may have to disinfect each machine after each player is finished. Really looks like they will open only when we get an all clear,

Does anyone think that 99% of the country gives a dam about harness racing, many businesses will be opened before tracks or casinos. If you took a poll in america where the hell do you think harness racing would land in relationship to most other businesses.Maybe bottom 5%.

Depends on the operation.  Some "2nd trainers" are no more than color bearing joggers, while others work with vets, farriers, etc, and can cut the mile.  It is the latter that would bear scrutiny if any proof could be found.

Unless you are a groom not paying attention you KNOW what is going on in the barn. A real 2nd trainer know the score, Did the POS even train or just oversee the operation of his stable. Tehy will open tracks when it is safe no amount of pissing and moaning will not get them opened any earlier. I think states have more to worry about the plight of harness racing.

1. Thats funny, horsemen helping support the economy. Most do NOT pay their bills. Not going to be many places to spend, and they already have to purchase feed bedding etc. 2. Tracks without casinos open first, that is a hell of a list, NO Pa, NY Ohio, Ky, Ind, We get Big M, Freehold, NJ Gov closed state till 5/15, but will give a dispensation for harness racing, I donīt think so. Harness racing will get a lot of free press, The cheatin scandal, Surick etc.

NO HARM, all you have to do is have any one in the paddock get sick with this virus, then they SHUT the place DOWN and it will take a beating in the press, and maybe some law suits. Again do you think state employees are going to want to go back to possibly get sick when they can stay home and collect UEI. Better to sit back and let it all be done, You have people in NY and Cal saying they donīt see football starting on time, maybe thanksgiving. You are delusional if you think that racing is going to be on the front burner for most states. I am sorry a lot of horseman are broke. Long ago when we didnīt race year round people actually had to plan for a down time, now we are in the age of slot money, when they take that away you are going to be really SCREWED. Do you remember what the purses at most tracks were before slot money, most tracks purses were shit. Look at the big m, state money is back, if it goes do you think Gural is going to eat the losses again.
