Great question

lets assume the facts that joeb presented are accurate
he gave trainer $30 k and they bought one horse for $15 k which then got claimed, so don't know financial details of  at what price and if the horse made money and assume no training bills were owed
there is still the question of the second $15 k owed
my thoughts
1. joeb, if after a number of months the trainer had not bought the second horse you should have asked  for the $15 k back , tell him when he finds a horse you will give him the money, he likely treated the $15 k that was in his bank account as his own and spent it
2. joeb , i would follow the advice the exporter provided as that is useful
3. ignore lucparks dribble
yes we all expect to lose money along the way in this business but have some fun along the way, thats different than someone stealing your money which is actually a crime
secondly what horses did you think the trainer asked him to come get, he had none with him ,the only one he had got claimed away

To you guys saying I owed him vet bills is pure nonsense as we had a lease deal we both made money on a few of the horses that he bought for me, in regards 1 horse won like 30,000 as he won a 8,000 claiming series for a purse of 20 k which we split the 10k also the horse he claimed and we bought for 9600 and was claimed for 18, 000 which I gave him 25% bonus to him on the money I made.
In regards to switching Trainers my 1st trainer who i still have has many Horses and really did not have time to train others thus the reason I found a 2nd trainer who was great at 1st he did claim a 1 15k for horse for me and he got claimed, thus I told him to claim me another 1 or send me my money back as i would find another trainer.
This is no fake news story this is real shit the guy literally stole my 15k and said he would pay me back by the 1st of the year.
And yes the guy is from Illinois like i said I dont want to post his name he knows he did me wrong but like I said I will if he don't make any payments soon as I'm the one that totally got fucked!
So if anybody knows a good attorney were he could help and has knowledge on the horse game would greatly be appreciated!

Very efficient trainer.  Saved you time.  You would have lost the 15k eventually. Should send the trainer a thank you card for getting you out with only a 15k hosing.  tmbz1
