Mohawk Thursday Afternoon Boxing Day Card

Looks like a decent betting card. Like a few.

Race 5 looks like a pretty competitive race. Im taking a shot with the #1 Giggle Hanover 5-1 m/l.  Hoping for about 6 or 7/1 at post time. Anything under 6-1 and I will pass.

Last two races in the first two legs of the Niagra series, this filly had loads of pace in the stretch. Fillion took her inside both times seeming to run out of room. Her win on 12/6 with Christoferou saw her coming off of cover off of a helmet and making up lots of ground late. She did seem to be on the left line a little bit, which might  also be a reason Fillion tried pass inside. This is usually a losing move at Mohawk though.

Also of note with the 12/6 victory is that the 2nd and 3rd place finishers have both come back to win,  although in less NW condition than these foes.

If you dont find my reasons for Giggle Hanover convincing, I think there is other value to be had as the 6 Arya Stark, although convincing in her two series wins, also had absolutely perfect trips in both wins.

Other interesting horses that figure to go off at healthy odds are #3 Cranberry Brie 8/1 picking up Mcclure and #4 Passport Hanover 10/1 m/l who has shown some decent speed off the gate only to fold late. With warmer weather today speed might be a little more advantageous and this one could go long on the front at big odds.

Betting to Win/Place #1

Win #3,#4

gl to all!
