NBC bent over backwards, sideways and on their knees over last 7 minutes of tonight's Classic (8.58p-905p et.)
apologizing on behalf of horse industry and how hard they tried to ensure top safety via extra vets, inc. early scratching horses this weekend....187 weekend starters and just one casualty - though that in the biggest race, the only one on national tv.

The takeaway: Mongolian Groom vanned off (back left) and the potential ramifications of that to horseracing: possibly making news bigger in nbc's last minutes, than their speaking to the winning connections.

Will Cali and national politicos now have last piece of 'track evidence' to give this game very hard medicine?

Broadcast ended on a down..nbc couldnt pretend anything less from ground zero (SA)
