guy was handed the big first place check..
pictures taken
handshakes and signatures...
then told he was beat buy a guy by .40 because the other guy "changed his last bet"
but for some reason it "didnt register with the computer system"
20k and a trip to vegas on the line

This is bull shit. Harrahs isn’t conducting any handicapping tournament. They aren’t getting $20k in prize money either.

Happened to me once too, in an online contest for a free entry into the Meadowlands contest. They even emailed me and said I won. When I looked it up, I was only 2nd, beaten by 60 cents.I was leading for a while,and just got beat in the last race of the contest. No apology admitting error or saying what happened either, just given future betting tokens for other contests for finishing 2nd.

and furthermore the "winner" JUMPED out to a huge lead after the first leaderboard was posted (although it took 6 races to post) and he actually went DOWN from the 6th to 20th...but jumped ahead by .40 somehow after the 20th had already been posted
